Experience

I am a Greek-Australian and have been living and teaching in Athens for over twenty years. I have taught English language and English literature at elementary, secondary and college levels and have extensive experience with international students and diverse cultures. I am an IB Certified English Teacher and a certified Examiner for English language examinations. I hold two BA’s, an MA and a PGCE, all degrees in English Language, Literature and Education. My main subject areas are English Literature for IB, A levels, GCSE's, SAT and PSAT examinations, as well as Academic Essay Writing and Research. I do believe that knowledge is a potent and priceless tool, which should facilitate progress and is an invaluable part of one’s life at any stage. I strongly support interdisciplinary education and education as a lifelong learning tool, which should advance towards the future, while respecting the past. Education, I believe, should foster and promote ethics in knowledge, learning practices, learning outcomes and cultural values and instill courtesy, respect and consideration for others in the future citizens of the world.

Hobbies

My academic interests include English literature, critical and cultural analysis and theory. I have carried out research on several literary works, ranging from classical to modern literature. I have also published work in the UK and maintain a blog with my writing works. In my free time, I love walking in nature, taking photos and swimming.
